which from what I understand originated in China but became very popular as a parlor game in Victorian England

I've documented a representative sample

I've seen a few of these online but had never come across a pair out in the world until finding these the other day

The white irregularities seem for the most part to be indigenous to the stone rather than dings to the surface

and a sweetgrass rim on both the lip and on the underside

Radiant Radiator--Exceptional c. 1940s Salesman Sample  “Watty” Chiltoskie carving which from what I understandI wouldn't have guessed that I might call a radiator one of the most beautiful things I'd ever seen, but I've got to say that this salesman sample is that indeed when I first saw it, I though it was glass tubes filled with gold dust, or maybe golden wheat (the color also reminds me of the salt marsh at its most beautiful in the fall.) I have found no other like it out there anywhere, but would guess it dates to the 1940s or so I have found one
